The United Arab Emirates has issued a firm statement strongly condemning the recent Houthi terrorist attacks that targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and a Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) passenger plane, calling the strikes a reckless escalation and a direct assault on civil aviation safety.
In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Abu Dhabi affirmed its total solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, emphasizing that the security of the UAE and Saudi Arabia is indivisible and that any threat to the Kingdom is considered a direct threat to the stability and security of the broader region.
The Ministry stressed that the deliberate targeting of civilian infrastructure and commercial transport aircraft represents a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law. The UAE called upon the international community and the UN Security Council to take a decisive stance against these repeated cross-border aggressions against essential public assets.
The UAE reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to supporting all measures taken by Saudi authorities to safeguard its citizens, residents, and critical infrastructure against regional security threats.
