Chicago Bulls rookie forward Caleb Wilson endured an unprecedented official NBA debut on opening night, setting an all-time league record for the worst plus-minus rating in a player’s debut game during a 135-92 loss to the Toronto Raptors.

The No. 4 overall pick finished with a -45 plus-minus across 32 minutes on the floor, surpassing the previous NBA record for a debut game. Despite flashes of athletic potential—tallying 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals—Wilson struggled with efficiency, shooting 7-of-21 from the field (including 1-of-8 from three-point range) and committing 9 turnovers as Chicago’s offense unravelled.

The 43-point deficit marked the worst opening-night defeat in Chicago Bulls franchise history. Toronto capitalized heavily on 27 Bulls turnovers and dominant transition play to seal the lopsided victory. Wilson and the young Bulls lineup will look to recalibrate quickly as they prepare for their next road fixture against the Milwaukee Bucks.
