.</p><p> </p><p>Qatar has four Islamic banks among its 16 operating banks, two of which rank among the world’s top ten by assets. Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) placed “sixth globally,” with Al Rayan Bank “seventh,” in 2025.</p><p> </p><p>In the takaful segment, total assets climbed “5.9%” to “QR4.7bn” in 2025, up from “QR4.4bn” in the previous year. Damaan Islamic Insurance Company (Beema) posted the sharpest growth at “20.3%,” followed by Alkhaleej Takaful Insurance at “2.4%” and Islamic Insurance Company at “1%.”</p><p> </p><p>Islamic finance companies recorded total assets of “QR2.6b,” a “3.9%” rise year-on-year, with Al Jazeera Finance leading the sector with asset growth of “9.1%.”</p><p> </p><p>The Islamic investment segment, comprising two companies, grew “4.8%” to “QR552.5mn.” The First Investor’s assets reached “QR492mn,” up “6.3%,” while Investment House declined “5.5%” to “QR60mn.”</p><p> </p><p>On the sukuk side, the QCB issued “QR10.1bn” worth of sukuk in 2025, which represented “43.4%” of total sukuk and bond issuances for the year. Over the past five years, the QCB’s sukuk issuances totalled “QR47.7bn,” accounting for “44.2%” of all government sukuk and bond issuances during that period.</p>%20%20%20%20<p>Related%20Story</p>
